Valentines Kids Night at the Zoo, Hey Parents! Take the night to celebrate Valentine’s Day and give your children their own evening of fun! Drop them off at the zoo – they’ll enjoy an exclusive after hours tour, a pizza dinner, games, crafts, snacks and more. This event is open to children ages 6 to 12. Zoo Members – $30.95/child and $20.95/additional sibling. Non-Members – $50.95/child and $40.95/additional sibling

February 6, 2016, Chinese New Year Celebration at Elmwood Park Zoo

Celebrate Chinese New Year with EPZ and learn about the year of the monkey on Saturday, February 6 from noon to 1:30 PM in the Canopy Gardens Hall. Join us for crafts, live animal greetings featuring “animals of the zodiac” and try on our Dragon Mask! These programs are free to enjoy with Zoo admission. Ever wondered what animals have walked the halls of the White House? Learn all about the pets who have been President’s best friend at our favorite annual “Presidential Pets” animal show on Monday, February 15. The show will begin at 1 P.M. in the Canopy Gardens Hall and is FREE to attend with zoo admission. Children are invited to Join the Continental Army and experience a day in the life of the continental soldier. Recruits will be mustered, or registered, by receiving enlistment papers and continental currency. Recruits will then be issued wooden (dummy) muskets and learn how to stand, march, and carry their musket as one of Washington’s soldiers would have done. Park rangers dressed in continental uniform will train the recruits in a full musket drill.
