September 19,  9:30 am – 3:00 pm – Craft Marketplace at Pennypacker Mills – FREE

The Friends of Pennypacker Mills, a Montgomery County owned historical site located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA, is holding its 4th Annual Craft Marketplace on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 9:30 to 3 o’clock PM on the grounds of the Mills.  Start your holiday shopping here!   We will have 50 carefully selected, skilled craftsmen to fulfill your every need and desire.  Our only handcrafted items include photos on tile, artwork, sterling and gemstone jewelry, seasonal décor, seaglass and petrified wood jewelry from local riverbeds, scroll saw ornaments with an ongoing demonstration, fabric crafts, pocketbooks and bags, pottery, wooden birdhouses and feeders from antique barnwood, books, jams and breads, theorem painting, and so much more all in a wide price range.  After shopping, visit our food vendor, the Friend’s 50/50 raffle, and tour the gorgeous turn-of-the-20th Century mansion.  All proceeds go to benefit Pennypacker Mills.  Ample parking is free.  Click here for more information,

 September 25 2-5pm –  Valley Forge Family Day – FREE

Visit Valley Forge NHP for an enjoyable and educational afternoon of historical reenactments, hands-on learning activities, Continental Soldier demonstrations, colonial games and music.  The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board recommends pre-registration for the event.  September 27, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Native American Day at Norristown Farm Park – FREE

Come to Norristown Farm Park for the annual NATIVE AMERICAN DAY.  Lee Hallman, president of the Indian Artifact Collectors Association of the Northeast, will display many artifacts.  Bring some of your own for free appraisal.  Other presenters give demonstrations and displays of Lenape culture, including flint knapping (the making of stone projectile points), jewelry, clothing, tools, and foods.  Come and talk to these knowledgeable people.  There will be Native American games and crafts for children.  All ages are welcome.   Native American Day festivities are held at the pavilions. Visit the Zoo on weekends between September 27th and November 1st for games, activities and live performances! Harvest Fest is free to attend with Zoo admission.
