November 1-30 Garden Railway @ Longwood Gardens

Bring your little ones to play, imagine, and get up close to our Garden Railway. Four locomotives rumble through the G-scale model train display, which features a new bridge, more tracks, and a beautifully landscaped display. Nov 7-8 Coffee and tea festival at the Philly Expo Center, Oaks, PA

November 14, Cradles to Crayons, Elmwood Park Zoo

The Big Give is a multi-community wide collection day to benefit low income and homeless children across our region. Help us help needy children prepare for the upcoming cold weather by donating the essential items they need to stay safe and warm this winter! Bring new and gently-used children’s clothing, coats, shoes, books, toys, baby equipment, and school supplies for children aged 0-12. Nov 20-22 Philadelphia Marathon
One of the most historic races in the nation, the Philadelphia Marathon covers fast and mostly flat terrain, crossing the heart of Philadelphia and some of the city’s most iconic landmarks — including Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House and the Liberty Bell.

November 22nd at 1:00 pm Thanksgiving Centerpieces at Norristown Farm Park
Create a Thanksgiving table centerpiece from autumn’s bounty. We’ll supply colorful pressed leaves, acorns and other nuts,
grasses, field-dried wild flowers, and berries for your masterpiece. Bring clippers and a special container, opaque vase, or a basket
with a liner to make it in. Meet at the park office. Ages: adults and children 12 and up; $5 per person; pre-registration

Nov 27, Holiday Garden Railway at Morris Arboretum
Visitors of all ages will be wow-ed by a quarter mile of track featuring seven loops and tunnels with fifteen different rail lines and two cable cars, nine bridges (including a trestle bridge you can walk under), and bustling model trains, all set in the lovely winter garden of the Morris Arboretum. The display and buildings are all made of natural materials – bark, leaves, twigs, hollow logs, mosses, acorns, dried flowers, seeds and stones – to form a perfectly proportioned miniature landscape complete with small streams. Each building, while an exact replica of the original, is unique in its design. Philadelphia-area landmarks such as a masterpiece replica of Independence Hall are made using pinecone seeds for shingles, acorns as finials and twigs as downspouts.

November 29th at 1:00 pm Holiday Wreaths at Norristown Farm Park

Make a holiday wreath that you can use indoors or outdoors for seasons to come with natural materials such as grapevine, pine cones, nuts, and flower pods. Seasonal ribbon will be available if desired. Bring a glue gun and glue sticks. Meet at the park office. Ages: adults with or without children (minimum age 12); $5 per person; pre-registration required.
November 20, Grand Illumination Celebration Peddlers Village Events
Santa comes to Bucks County for our annual Grand Illumination Celebration, an outdoor holiday light display that kicks off our holiday season.
Join us for free cider and marshmallow toasting, visit our shops (open until 10 pm that evening) and preview all the great holiday gifts in store. The lights go on at 6:15 pm – don’t be late! Click here for more info,
